Baptist Healthcare gets USDA grant to buy telehealth equipment for rural hospitals and clinics in southeastern Kentucky

Baptist Healthcare System is getting a $182,566 grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to install teleconferencing and telehealth equipment for five facilities in medically underserved areas in southeastern Kentucky.

The grants from USDA Rural Development's Distance Learning and Telemedicine program will held Knox County HospitalPineville Community Hospital, and Baptist Health Richmond as well as primary care clinics in Williamsburg and London, reaching approximately 5,000 people, Baptist Health said.
